In this issue of PIECES, we continue our Inside Polish Beauty series with a look inside SISLAB, a cosmetics manufacturing facility based in Stoczek Łukowski, Poland, that has quietly become a go-to partner for cosmetic startups and growing beauty brands across the region.

What makes SISLAB distinctive isn't only its production capabilities — batches from 30 kg, UV Blue Light packaging sterilization, and mixing vessels scaling up to 1,000 kg — but the fact that it isn't the story of a single founder. It's the story of three women who built a modern, full-service cosmetics lab together, covering everything from the first idea to the finished product on the shelf.

We spoke with the SISLAB team about what it takes to turn a concept into a cosmetic brand, how they see the Polish beauty manufacturing landscape today, and what's next for the company.

Q.What problem do you solve, and what makes your approach different?

We built SISLAB to be a true partner in cosmetic manufacturing — not just a factory that fills bottles, but a team that stays with a brand from the very first idea to the finished product on the shelf.

Many new and growing brands struggle to find a manufacturer willing to work with them at a realistic scale. That's why we set our minimum production batch at just 30 kg — an ideal starting point for both cosmetic startups and larger, established projects that need flexibility.

Our process is comprehensive: idea, formulation, samples and testing, packaging selection, testing and documentation, and finally manufacturing and packaging. Every stage is handled in-house, in our own modern laboratory, which means our clients get full quality control at every step rather than having to coordinate between multiple external partners.

We also invest in details that many manufacturers overlook, such as BlueLight® UV packaging sterilization, an additional safety step that ensures the highest level of hygiene before a product ever reaches the client.

We believe that combining hands-on formulation expertise, modern in-house production, and genuinely individual project support is what allows us to turn an idea into a product our clients are proud to put their name on.

Q.Inside Polish Beauty — how do you see the Polish cosmetics manufacturing industry today?

Poland has become one of the most active cosmetics manufacturing hubs in Europe, and we see that growth firsthand in the range of clients who come to us — cosmetic startups, growing brands, beauty salons and spas, aesthetic medicine clinics, retail chains, and B2B partners and distributors.

What we notice most is how differently each of these clients enters the process. A startup might arrive with only an idea and a vision for their brand, while a retail chain or distributor already knows exactly what they need in terms of volume and specification. That diversity is precisely why we tailor the scope of our services to each project individually, regardless of its scale or stage of development.

Flexibility, quality, and long-term partnership are what we believe define a strong manufacturing partner in this market — and they're the three principles we built SISLAB around.

Q.People & Philosophy

SISLAB isn't the story of one person — it's the work of a team, and we want to be introduced that way.

Behind every product that leaves our facility is a small group of people covering laboratory formulation, manufacturing, packaging, and testing, working together under one roof. We create solutions tailored to each brand's needs, but that individual approach only works because we function as a close, hands-on team rather than a large, impersonal factory.

Our clients range from a cosmetic startup formulating their very first product to established retail chains and distributors who need a dependable manufacturing partner at scale. What they all share is the expectation of quality, flexibility, and a manufacturer who treats their brand as if it were our own.

That's the philosophy we try to bring to every project — comprehensive support, from formulation and packaging selection to manufacturing and filling, delivered by a team that stays involved at every stage.

Q.What are you planning next?

We're continuing to invest in our laboratory and production capabilities so we can keep supporting brands at every stage — from a 30 kg pilot batch to scaling up toward our 1,000 kg mixing vessel capacity.

Alongside contract manufacturing and Private Label / White Label production, we want to keep strengthening the services around the core process: technological consulting, cosmetic testing and documentation, and support with product launch, so that brands can rely on us for more than just manufacturing.

Our goal is simple — to remain the kind of partner that brands, whether they're just starting out or already established, can build with for the long term.

From a 30 kg first batch to a fully documented, market-ready product, SISLAB shows how a small, dedicated team can support a brand through every stage of cosmetic manufacturing.
